Discover Support. Discover You.

Welcome to the CSLC language tutoring scheduling system! We're so glad you're here.

Language tutoring is free and available to all members of the Notre Dame community: students, faculty, and staff. You do not have to be registered for a language course to reserve a spot! Language tutoring is ideal for anyone wishing to practice their existing skills, receive help with a particularly troublesome language element, or use languages to connect with others. Our student language tutors are all highly proficient and trained to assist you wherever you are in your journey.

If this is your first visit to the CSLC registration system, you will be invited to create a user account.  The platform can be accessed using your regular Notre Dame netID and credentials at https://cslc.mywconline.com/.

Language Tutoring Booking Guidelines:

  1. Please limit your bookings to twice per week to ensure enough appointments remain available for others who need language tutoring services.

  2. Appointments must be reserved at least two hours in advance so tutors have adequate time to prepare for your session.

  3. Language tutoring is not a platform for instruction and does not take the place of a language class. It is intended to help you practice, strengthen, and enhance language learning that you have already begun.

  4. Language tutors are not permitted to assist you with homework or class assignments.

  5. The final 5 minutes of your tutoring session are reserved for tutor reporting and administrative tasks. Please help your tutor protect these final 5 minutes to log your progress notes!

  6. Our language tutoring schedule follows the University academic calendar. Since CSLC language tutors are also students balancing their own coursework, sessions are not available:
    • before the Fall and Spring ND Roll Call deadlines
    • during University holidays and student breaks
    • after classes end for the semester, including reading and exam days

Please email Hannah Mentch at the CSLC hmentch@nd.edu if you have any questions.  Also, please feel free to drop by the CSLC anytime for a coffee, relaxed place to study, or a friendly chat. We’re in Room 334 in Bond Hall!
